The Story of Mulheres do Caparaó: Coffee with a Vision

Perle de Café Brazil is more than just a premium roast; it is a testament to the resilience of the Mulheres do Caparaó cooperative. In the Alto Jequitibá region, five women wagered that specialty coffee would be the key to their survival and the future of their land. By focusing on quality and natural fermentation, they have created an exceptional cup that reflects the rich geographical diversity of the Brazilian plains and mountains.

Swiss Roasting at 1,000 Meters

True to the La Semeuse tradition, these specialty whole beans are roasted at high altitude in the Swiss “Watch Valley.” The lower atmospheric pressure at 1,000 meters allows our Master Roaster to develop the beans’ full aromatic spectrum without the risk of bitterness. This results in a low-acid profile (2/5) that is exceptionally gentle on the stomach while maintaining a rich, medium intensity (3/5).

Perle de Café Brazil Cupping Notes: Red Berry & Milk Chocolate

This Red Catuai variety is processed naturally to enhance its inherent sweetness. Every sip reveals:

  • Primary Notes: Bright, juicy red berries and sweet fruit.

  • Body: A smooth, velvety mouthfeel characterized by milk chocolate.

  • Finish: A delicate lightness with a lingering hint of toasted hazelnut.

AROMATIC PROFIL An exceptional coffee, with a smooth, rounded flavour evoking gourmet notes of red fruit, hazelnut and milk chocolate.
