Recipe: Brownies with Coffee and Candied Orange


  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1/2 dl of “Il Piacere” or “Don Marco”
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 50 g flour
  • 130 g butter
  • 2 tablespoons cubed orange peel
  • 1 handful of walnuts
  • icing sugar


Preheat the oven to 350F

Beat the eggs with the sugar.
Melt the chocolate with the coffee in a double boiler and add the butter to obtain a smooth mixture.
Add to the egg/sugar mixture.
Add the flour and mix everything well.
Add the coarsely chopped walnuts and the orange peel into cubes.
Butter a rectangular pan and pour the preparation into it.

Cook for 20 minutes.
Let cool.
Unmold and cut into large squares.
Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
