Our company has been awarded the Swiss Coffee Roaster of the Year 2021 by the experts of CREMA magazine. This is a recognition of our efforts in quality and sustainability.

WHAT IS CREMA MAGAZINE?

The professional magazine CREMA is a reference in the world of coffee. After being awarded to two Swiss-German brands in 2020 and 2019, the Swiss Coffee Roaster of the Year 2021 award is for the first time awarded to a French-speaking company.

Our company has been recognized for its pursuit of perfection. In particular, the growing share of our purchases in organic & fair trade coffees, as well as the emphasis on sustainability were recognized.

SELECTION CRITERIA

“The choice of CREMA fell this year on LA SEMEUSE, because this both traditional and contemporary roasting tends to soar and not only because of its location at 1000m altitude, allowing the use of a milder roasting temperature.

The selection of the Swiss Roaster of the Year is based on three main criteria:

1.quality of the coffees, respectively of the roasting
2. performance in terms of delivery, service and packaging
3. fairness and sustainability in the purchase of green coffee.

These three criteria are verified several times during a year through test orders placed with roasters.” according to Dagmar Horsch. BT Verlag GmbH, München.

Finally, La Semeuse is not going to rest on its laurels. “Receiving an award is great news, but it’s only the beginning of the story,” says Nicolas Bihler. “It is also a commitment to continue to keep our passion alive and to offer superior quality coffee to all coffee lovers.”
